Our Favorite Road Trip Playlist for Summer

Do you love to sing in the car? Cruising the highway with the music on full blast and singing your heart out is one of the fun memories we create over the Summer. We’re surprised that people haven’t invented the “sing in the car” music genre yet!

If you have a few CDs stashed in your car, you may be bored with that same old music. Fortunately, if you look deep enough, there are some pretty cool playlists on Spotify!

If you want to prepare your car for these hardcore playlists and the road ahead, we’d love to help you out! These are some of our favorite playlists for summertime road trips:

Of course, while you’re grooving down the road with your favorite songs, here are some things to remember so you have safe travels:

Put away any distractions and keep your eyes on the road. That means putting away your cell phones, food, inflated balloons, and other items that could take your attention away from what is in front of your vehicle.

Keep the volume at a moderate level. If your singing and playing are too loud, you may not hear the sirens behind you or the honking horn that’s trying to warn you of danger.

Be mindful of your fatigue. Many of us have gotten out of the habit of driving long distances, which can make you more sleepy while driving. If you are getting tired and your eyes are getting heavy, pull over to a safe place and take a short nap.

Pay attention to your vehicle’s health before, during, and after your road trip. Before you hit the road every day, it’s a smart idea to walk around your car for a quick safety inspection. Are the tires fully inflated? Are your headlights, taillights, blinkers, and brake lights working properly? Do your gauges indicate that something needs attention, like your Check Engine light? It would be wise to have it taken care of sooner than later so you reduce the risk of getting into problems with your vehicle.
