Coeur d’Alene Lake
If you love blending the beauty of a gorgeous lake with the bustle of a popular tourist destination, you’ll love camping at Coeur d’Alene Lake. You and the family can watch the wildlife as you hike, canoe, swim, or fish near the water’s edge.
Bruneau Dunes State Park

If history is your thing, you’ll love visiting Three Island Crossing State Park. This site memorializes the Oregon Trail and all the pioneers who passed through here in their covered wagons. There are history programs that tell the tales of those who lived and traveled along the Snake River.
Craters of the Moon National Monument
An abundance of lava flows mark this weird and unworldly landscape. Explore this scenic landscape with the family and you’ll appreciate the power of Mother Nature and her geology. But before you go, make sure the park is open and without risk of seismic activity.
